Hi Forum

(you can see where ive got to so far on the attached file.
Go to the top menu bar on the top right, then left to 'work' then the plant images are connected to Fancybox)

I have this website in the planing stage and trying to get all the bits working.
Thanks 'Jamie' for helping me to get started in RSD as im not a coder!!!!
There are several issues
the first is when a Fancybox picture is clicked and opens the page in the background scrolls to the top of the page instead of staying were its is. This is a known issue and brings me on to the next point.
its supposed to be sorted out by adding this code to the helpers... I quote....

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1354 … to-the-top

This can actually be done with a helper in Fancybox 2.

$('.image').fancybox({
helpers: {
overlay: {
locked: false
}
}
});

I have helpers listed in the footer code but cant get it to work or how to place this code within the existing code correctly. it seems to stop everything else with Fancybox working.
Similarly Ive tried to change the title box to outside the picture but that doesnt work either.
Ive lookes at the jquery.fancybox.css file and cant find anywhere to change the font colour. Ive changed what i thought would be the right colour but it has no effect.
There seems to be some disconnection between the footer script and the jquery.fancybox.css (and/or jquery.fancybox.js)? file.
the main problem is relating the install information from the Fancybox web site into FF (or RSD).
Has anyone else had these issues?

thanks Tim

Hi Tim,
Can you share a link to the page with the issue so we can see it?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

I Eric
If you download the zip file and use browser preview that should show it. It's not uploaded to a site yet as I'm still in this preliminary build stage trying to iron out the bugs.
Thanks Tim

Hi Tim,
It's far easier to help on a live page so others can all help and point out issues at the same time.

Hi Eric
Sorry about that. I thought it would be the other way round, but I'm not used to dealing with this stuff so hear you go. I've uploaded it.

Hi Eric
I've just looked at it and all the Fancybox stuff is working so it must be there.
Click on the menu, top right, then the 'work' link on the left and that will take you to some plant images. These will open up in Fancybox so the script must be there somewhere unless you mean something else?

Hi Eric
The helper files are in resources/Images/Fancybox/helpers in the FF file.
So they are there.
May be this is the problem that they are not connected or in the right place.
I installed Fancybox according to this info from a post.

Look for Jamie's post near the bottom.

I really don't know if this is entirely correct or not. It's basically worked but editing it seems a bit of a problem?

Most of your script links don't appear to be working. I would make sure you have the file structure setup correctly.
