With the release of our recent Flash based software, we have had many users asking if they can use them in conjunction with VisualSite Designer (VSD). We have decided to provide you with a tutorial on how it is accomplished.
The general process is the same for all the programs.
Step 1:
Open VSD and create your page.
Step 2:
Click the HTML Button in the left button area and draw an area large enough to contain the Website Search.

Step 3:
Use CoffeeCup Website Search to create your search and after clicking the Save button in the HTML Settings screen you will be shown the image below. You will need to remember where you save the file so you can upload them later.

Step 4:
Copy the HTML code to the Clipboard. (Copy to Clipboard) (This happens behind the scenes you will not see it.)
Step 5:
Bring up VSD again and paste (Ctrl+V) the HTML code into the BODY section of the HTML Object. Click the Ok button.
Note: The HTML object will not display until after it has been uploaded to your host and all the required files uploaded as well.

Step 6:
Upload (Send) the webpages to your host using VSD. (Your Website Search will not appear until you have uploaded the required files.)
Step 7:
Upload the other required files for the Flash. These will include the SWF file and several other files (.php, .txt and .xml) depending on which Flash program you are using. These file MUST BE uploaded to the exact same folder as the page which contains the HTML code. If this is not the main (index) page then you will need to upload the required files to the subfolder My_Homepage_Files.
