The HTML Settings area allows you to adjust the results page for your searches. The settings here are generic and but you can use HTML Header and HTML Footer tabs to create results which look more like your site.
One helpful bit of information: If you add code to the HTML Header tab, it will override any settings you have created using the HTML Settings tab.

The Results Settings tab provides a place where you can customize the results information.

There five main options here which allow for customization. The first is Date/URL this will display the last date the page was spidered. Next is Relevance, this shows how many words from your search string are actually in the search result. Definition will attempt to link your search string to entry in Wikipedia, an online database updated by anyone who visits their site. WikiPedia Language provides you with many choices for the language Wikipedia entries. (Look here for more information about Wikipedia.) Finally, Results Per Page is the maximum number of search results which will be displayed on each page. There will be multiple pages of search results if there are too many to fit on a single page.
For several of these you can choose the Font Face, Font Size and Font Style. |
Clicking the HTML Header or HTML Footer tabs provides you with an area to insert HTML code for the header or footer of your results. As far as we are aware, any HTML can be added to the Header and Footer areas. If you add HTML and it does not appear, please let us know so we can take a look. I will again note that if you insert anything in the HTML Header tab, it will override the settings under the HTML Settings tab.

After clicking the Save button, you will be provided with the name of all files which need to be uploaded as well as the HTML code which needs to be pasted into your webpage. All the files below must be uploaded to the same folder on your server. Clicking the Copy to Clipboard button will copy the code to the Windows' clipboard. (You will not see anything copy, it happens behind the scenes.)
