Repeating events are always on the same date
The software can only repeat events on the same day of the month or year, depending on which type is selected. This means that an event on October 4th will repeat every month on the 4th, or every October 4th (regardless of the day of the week). This is also the reason so many important holidays are missing from the lists, including Easter, Thanksgiving, and Memorial Day. These holidays, and many others, are celebrated on floating days, i.e. the last Thursday in November.
Our developers are looking into adding this functionality to future versions of the software, but at the moment the only solution is to simply add the event as a holidy for each year without repeating.
