Padding properties allow you to adjust the padding values.  This effect is somewhat similar to Cellpadding in a table.

 

What is PADDING ?

 

Padding is the distance between text or images and it's Border or it's Margin if no BORDER is present.  The PADDING properties can be adjusted so that elements can be closer or father apart to the BORDER or MARGIN.
