Inserting Photo Gallery into the HTML Editor

Once you've created your gallery, you probably want to insert it to your site. Not a problem, we're here to tell you how. You'll want both the Flash Photo Gallery and the HTML Editor open at the same time, so you can switch between the two quickly.

Be sure to save your gallery into the Working directory for your site, defaulted to C:\Program Files\CoffeeCup Software\Working. Once the gallery is saved, you'll receive a screen with the code you need to copy to the your page:

Click the "Copy to clipboard" button, then switch to the HTML Editor. You'll need to have your page open in the Code Editor tab. You can paste the code using Ctrl+V, right-click > Paste, or Edit > Paste instructions. Be sure to paste the code between the <body> and </body> tags within the HTML page.

Once you've pasted the code, you can switch to the Visual Editor tab. You'll see a Media Object box on the page which represents the Photo Gallery. You can right-click this and select "Unlock and Move Object" to drag this anywhere.

Once you've placed the gallery anywhere you'd like, save the HTML page to the Working directory. Now you can upload the files to your server. You'll need to upload the three files and folder created from Photo Gallery (swf, xml, html, and the entire folder containing the images), as well as the HTML page you just saved within the HTML Editor. Be sure to maintain the directory structure:

  • your_page.html
  • myalbum.html
  • myalbum.swf
  • myalbum.xml
  • myalbum (folder)
    • img_1.jpg
    • img_2.jpg
    • etc...
