Troubleshooting

Here are a few items we think users may have trouble with.  If you have other issues, please contact us via e-mail, or if you are a registered user, sign in and chat with is.

Server Requirements:  Your host's server must be running at least PHPv4.3.  If not, our program will not be able to function properly. See Server Requirements.

1. If you click the Login button when trying to chat with users and you receive a "Failed to Login" message, it is most likely due to two things.  One, you did not upload your files to the server.  Two, you uploaded the files to your server but you uploaded them to the incorrect location.  Remember, they files have to be uploaded to the EXACT location you specified in the first step of the New Live Chat Wizard.

2. If you have trouble with the Live Chat not working and you used an external FTP program to upload the files, you will want to check the permissions on the files and folder.  Change the permissions to 777 for both the folder contains the chat files and the chat files themselves.

3. If your server has IIS 6 installed and you are having trouble with Live Chat, you will need to contact your host and have them take a look at the IUSR_ACCOUNT.  The  IUSR_ACCOUNT has to be assigned the directory containing the Live Chat files and it has to have MODIFY permissions in order to work.
