Tell a Friend About Our Cool Software
This step is the most important in creating an image map -- defining the areas that, when clicked, will take you to a specific Webpage. There are three tools for creating clickable areas: the Rectangle tool, the Circle Tool, and the Polygon Tool.
All three tools are all found on the main toolbar:The Rectangle and Circle tools work basically the same. Click once to start the shape, and then drag the mouse until the shape is the proper size. Clicking the mouse a second time will complete the shape. Now you can specify the link, as well as the mouseover and alt text for your shape.

The Polygon tool is similar, except you draw a polygon with the mouse. Click once to start the polygon, then click again when you want to place a corner. Finally, close the polygon by double-clicking the mouse. Now you can specify the area's properties.
