Tell a Friend About Our Cool Software
By now you are familiar with opening a new HTML page by going to the main menu and clicking on File > New...
But this may not always be the best way to start a web page. What if you are working on a series of pages that all use the same header and banner across the top? Instead of inserting the same header and banner at the top of each page, wouldn't it be easier if you had a template already created? Using a template saves a lot of time and energy, and with CoffeeCup HTML editor, it couldn't be easier.
To create a template, the first thing you need to do is crate a page that uses all the common elements of the type of page you will be creating. If all the pages share the same font, insert that into the page. If all of the pages are going to have a banner at the top of the page, insert that as well. When you have your template ready, go to the Main Menu and click on File > Save As Template...
This will open a pop up window that lists the templates already created. Give your template a unique name and click the "Cool" button.
Now whenever you need to use your template, just click on File > New From Template. This will open up a list of templates for you to choose from. You will notice there are already many templates included with the program you might find useful.
