Open from Web

The Open From Web option allows a user to open a webpage by entering in the exact URL to the webpage.  This feature works best with HTML pages which do not include any PHP or SSI (Server Side Includes).  If the page contains PHP code which substitutes code as the server sends the file, the result will be code which may not be the original.

As you can see in the image below, there are several options available when dowonloading the file.  If you just want to make a few changes to the file, we suggest just opening the file only, there is no need to download all the other files.  However, if you will be making extensive changes to the page, you will want to download all the other files to make sure they all work properly.  However, if all your files do not reside on the server along with your webpage, they will not be pulled down to your computer.  This means that if you use a Javascript which is hosted on another server, it will not be pulled down to your comptuer with the other files.  The program will not pull down any files from other domains, just the one you specify.

Clicking the folder button to the right of the File field will open your default Working folder.
