Backing up Your LockBox Information
Because LockBox is used as a secure storage space for your sensitive information, it's extremely important that you back it up. There are three different methods you can use.
Exporting Your Information
To export your LockBox information as a .csv, plain text, or PDF file, go to File > Export. This opens a window prompting you to choose which information to export and where you’d like to save it. This method backs up your information in a format that cannot be opened with LockBox, which comes in handy if LockBox malfunctions for any reason.
Backing up Your .pwk File
If you only wish to back up your .pwk file, navigate to this file path: C:/Program Files/CoffeeCup Software/CoffeeCup LockBox. Copy the .pwk file by right-clicking it and selecting Copy. Next, paste a copy of the folder in another location on your computer by right-clicking the background and selecting Paste. If your LockBox file ever gets corrupted for any reason, you should delete it from the location in the CoffeeCup LockBox folder, and then move the copy you made into that folder.
Backing Everything Up
To back up your .pwk file, personal settings, and the program itself, go to File > Copy Program to Folder or Drive. This opens a window that allows you to save your everything to a location on your computer or to an external drive, such as a thumb drive or external hard drive. This method allows you to open and run LockBox normally from the new location.
