RSD - How do I create expand/collapse...

am currently evaluating RSD (Responsive Site Design), and while I am actually recreating a web site, I would like to know how does one create an expand/collapse against either button link or text link, rather than referring to a new web page, as this would be a lot easier when one is using the mobile phone. I have looked at FAQ and Community web page, but can't see a reference to what I am actually trying to achieve, so any help here would be appreciated.

Hi there,

RSD doesn't have a menu system like you are requesting however if you search the forums Mansour has a few video tutorials showing how you can get this effect with a little extra work.

Alternatively you can use Coffeecup Menu Builder to get you desired effect.

Do you mean something like "Read More" "Read Less" function, where you can set the number of characters displayed, then the user clicks the read more link and the rest of the paragraph is displayed ?
Or do you mean a drop down box from a menu button that can contain a lot of text or even images ?

As Steve mentioned RSD doesn't have either of those functions. available built in, so you would need to add them as separate add on functions, which although fairly easy to pick up how to do it, requires a certain amount of coding knowledge.

Yes I am looking at something like 'read more, read less' but without it actually showing anything until the link is active, it's sort of dynamically expand to reveal the context. So if RSD doesn't do this does Menu Builder solve it, but I don't see examples of this on the software page, or are there other software that does this?

I believe what you are looking for is an accordion style content element. Mansour made a great video showing how to do this. I have included link below.

Thanks Steve, that solves what I am looking for, so yes I will be using 'accordion' style.

Thanks to all that have answered, and navigated me to a correct solution!
