Many years ago, about 20 to be exact, I bought an html book and taught myself html. I bought CC HTML editor and the ftp program to get it online. My site ran for a few years, but then I decided I didn't have the time to keep up with it. I am now preparing to put up a site to broadcast my business. I bought the latest html editor and some of the other programs, but I am an old lady and I am no longer familiar with the jargon. Themes, WordPress, responsive sites, etc.

Coffee Cup put out a book once, but that is now as outdated as I am. Can anyone recommend a good, inexpensive way to get things running as quickly as possible? I decided to go into business for myself as a copywriter, but until I have clients I have no money. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The best way is for you to get a WYSWYG (What You See Is What You Get) application,, the best one is right here on CC site called RSD (Responsive Site Designer) Is isn't free but it's great and once you are into it it's fantastic,, but does need some work to get into it,, I can help you get started with some video instructions,, and step by step building a responsive web-site there are others here also that have video instruction) My web site (still in development is https://foundation-framer-tutorials.com Hop on over if you like and you can contact me direct from there if you need further assistance to get going.

Welcome back to the world of responsive web-designing & development

I too am getting back into website building to support my wife's new ventures. I'm frustrated with the so called web builders out there that charge a fortune to put up a wordpress site.

I'm looking for a collaborative tutor that can help me use CC tools to develop two websites that meet certain functional requirements like a calendar that customers can schedule consulting time (like a salon or barbershop), a photo submission feature for entry into shows, a membership application that can handle application, payments, and CRM, etc.

Are/Is there someone on the forum that would work with me on a paid basis to help and teach me how to develop my sites?

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
