I am new to using Visual Site Designer and am curious about how the software actually works. I appears that every element designed creates an image file. For instance, I created a button called home and then copied and pasted it on a number of pages and it appears there are a half dozen home button images in my folder. Can someone explain what this happens. Seems to me I have a hundred images for a very simple website with seven pages. I use Dreamweaver 2004 MX and it is old and I wanted to move away from that environment to something more simple and easy to use, but am concerned with how the folder structure seems really messy. BB

Welcome to the forum BEE.
The image duplication has been brought up before but I always tell users not to worry about it. VSD makes building websites pretty painless. There's a few ways to eliminate some of them and you can find those in the designer thread. Other then that VSD can do some pretty awesome things and if you find the need for some advanced content that can be handled also through html boxes. I have several examples in the site in my signature of the kind of things that you can do with a little extra work. If you want to see some of the sites built with VSD take a look at this thread. :)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

I my opinion Visual Site Designer it's outdated compare to current trend " Responsive" I suggest keep your eyes on upcoming Coffeecup Responsive Web Designer which is going to kick Visual Site Designer to dustbin. if you know basic hand coding Coffeecup Responsive Layout Maker Pro http://www.coffeecup.com/responsive-layout-maker-pro/ it's outstanding application currently in the market.
