www.pphcsd.org
Enter "district" into the search

I get:

Phelan Piñon Hills instead of Phelan Piñon Hills

I must use the "ñ" character on the site. The search window must also display this character.

Here's another:
www.protectourlands.com
enter: "energy" in the search field

I get:
"Supporting renewable energy       that does not sacrifice our environment" Â

What can I do about this?

Looks like it should here on Vista FF3+. Let's not get all hurt.

I don't know what this means.

Sorry, what I meant was I see the characters displayed with the correct encoding. Perhaps you should try emptying your browsers cache and visit the page again?

Everything looked ok to me too. Win XP with IE. All my best,

Strange. Just checked it again and I still see them both with the symbols. I tested on my XP and my Vista. This is my first time trying this program. I cannot imagine what is causing this.

Thank you both for checking.

I see the weird characters on my Windows XP Firefox. In the upper left corner of the "energy" search I also saw:

When I look at the page source for the search results it just shows spaces where the odd characters appear in the render. "You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline - it helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer." -- Frank Zappa

In IE 7 it shows a lot of extra blank spaces in the renders where the characters appear in FF, but the characters themselves don't show for me. Thank you Spinny. I'm getting the exact same results here. The space issue can be resolved by converting the slogan to an image I guess.

What's really bothering me is the strange symbols for ñ. My client will not go for that.

It looks like I will not be able to use this program.

Have you tried using
ñ
in the HTML code instead of
ñ
