Allow us to set a database filename to search also. We want to search an already functional SQL Database, but not proficient enough in PHP to build a user search on the web page.

Here is a couple of suggestion:

The first suggestion would be to have the background behind the search field and button transparent.

I am putting together a site and would like to put the search field/button over a gradient background image. With a transparent background I would not have to match/align the existing gradient background image.

The second suggestion would be a PHP search without the flash.

Thanks for a great program.

just a small note. I am using 5.0, but it might be old, not sure. Haven't used it for years, but I am working on a site now and fired up the program....

I noticed a few old items on the help pages at F1
* About CoffeeCup has a couple of old links that don't work at the bottom of the page..
CoffeeCup Fact:
In 2003 Scott Swedorski joined the CoffeeCup team. At this point we are not even sure if you are reading this material so if you are, email scott and let him know ;)
--and--
* on the F1 contact us page, has an old address....
* the notice of copyright page has a link ( http://www.coffeecup.com/legal/privacy.html ) The link is correct, but when you click it, it doesn't work.
* software privacy page has old address

I may have a few suggestions after I get done with this website.. but thought I would make a note about this before I forget..

i came up with something..
a "Reset to Defaults" button for the "Build Search" UI.

If you delete file extensions from the "Allowed File Extensions" , they seem to be gone-gone, even when reopening the program or using the "New" button to create a new search.

lol, It seems I am running into issues here.. The program won't scan the site at all now..
Maybe it needs a master reset function, because it did work once..

then I started to fine tune it and now it does nothing.. says the site has been scanned, but it hasn't done anything.

I suppose i will uninstall the program and then re-install it to reset all the settings.

I echo the transparent background of the search box request or even no background. No need for a background when it's usually being placed in an area that has it's own background.

I just used this program again for the first time in like two years. Still works great but noticed it hadn't been updated since 2006 so I thought I'd check out what's new.

I'm guessing since Scott posted asking for suggestions just a couple months ago that the developers are working on a new version. Can't wait to see it if that's the case.

After messing with this a little while, I came up with a suggestion. You guys are probably planning on including this anyway, but will suggest just in case. :)

An easy way to include the results code into an existing webpage. Basically like it does for the flash file, you could have a button that shows you the code that needs to be placed where you want the results to show up on the page.

Luckily I know some php so it's not a problem for me, but I'm sure some users who don't want to mess with php would find it useful.

A couple of suggestions(I know you can't be every thing to every one), but to be able to position the search box/header on the results page, and to add a custom background. I just been 'playing' with the css to do it, but I guess you could do the bg in the header html as well.

Also to be able to increase the size of the text in the search box.

Great idea. This would be a nice feature. CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!
