ADD WEB ANALYTICS TO YOUR COFFEECUP FLASH WEBSITE SEARCH

Here's a GREAT Trick to use with CoffeeCup Flash Website Search. As I'm an SEO one of the most important things I need to do is Website Analytics, and one of the two most important things you can analyze on a site is "What are people searching for that they are NOT finding so I can add it?" and "What are people searching for a lot that I do have that I can make even more prominent on the site?"

It is VERY difficult to get this data from any onsite search forms - period. Well, thanks to CoffeeCup's great Flash Website Search software having a custom header and footer section built in, if you open a new (free) account with sitemeter.com JUST for your searches, you can plug the sitemeter code directly into the custom footer section of the Flash Website Search and Voila! The next time and every time anyone searches for anything on your site you will have a complete and separate record of exactly what they were looking for just by looking at their "entry pages".

Now you can add just exactly the words people are most looking for within your site and give your customers what they want while increasing sales.

ADD A CUSTOM HEADER MESSAGE AND LINK BACK TO YOUR WEBSITE

Once your customer clicks on "Search" the search engine takes them to the search page - but what if there are no results? The clients have to be aware enough to know that they need to use the "back" button in the browser to return to your site - but what if they're not paying attention and close the search window?

To remedy this, add an instruction to use the back button and also add a custom link back to your site (for those visitors who don't know what the "back button" is.).
