Hi all,
I need to create an H1 title called Magic CAD/CAM, but when I enter this, it shows up as Magic CADCAM, i.e. no forward slash.
How do I get it to show the forward slash? It's a kind of magic!

May have to enter the HTML Code # for it, I think forward slash is / if not mistaken.

Hi Phil,
Thank you very much for your suggestion. You are right that the HTML code for it is /, but unfortunately it doesn't do the trick.
Any other suggestions? It's a kind of magic!

Which program are you trying to implement the Website Font code into to get your H1 tag output?
I just tried copying the code from WF into HTML Editor (inserted right before the </head> tag) and put several /'s into the text shown in the H1 tag. It showed each one fine...
Guess what I'm saying is, we might need a bit more info

Hi Phil,
After a bit of research I found that the problem was actually not with the Website Font, but with the sIFR Font Maker.
You see, I had created a Website font based on the University Roman BT true type font, but when you do that, sIFR Font Maker doesn't automatically use all the glyphs, and one that it doesn't use is the forward slash, so you have to enter that especially.
Now it should work.
Thanks for your time anyway. It's a kind of magic!

Ok magic - Just downloaded and installed sIFR (thought I had it on this machine
old age settin' in I guess). When you start the program, you will see step 1 - which you select the fonts (regular/italic/bold) that you wish to use, step 2 - gives you the options of selecting the 'glyphs'. And while selecting "All" should give you every ascii character (I don't know why it wouldn't), if you select "User Defined" and insert the "/" in the input box with the rest of the characters it WILL be included during the conversion. Then it's just a matter of selecting your target and exporting the file.
I'm not 100% familiar with this program (or Website Font), although I have played with them when I first got into CC Software a few years ago... So I'm not positive, but this is how I "finished" the conversion... Open Website Font and select "Import Fonts", select the .swf file that sIFR created, in the bottom section of the program is the 'font' box, use the scroll bar in that box to go down to "My Fonts" and select the newly created font. Save and get code, paste code into the header of your .html file (right before the </head> tag), then edit your <h1> tag data to what you want, including your "/" and preview. It SHOULD be there
There may be an easier way (?) and if there is, I'm sure that someone with more experience with these programs will chime in. Meanwhile, hope this helps. Living the dream, stocking the cream
