So, your original set of images are different sizes?

That makes a slideshow really hard to work with. I find taking pictures at the highest resolution you have and then re-sizing them to what you need works OK. But if you have pictures that are taken with different cameras or phone cameras you that can cause problems.

I would try in the future to get all pictures at one size so it's easier to work with them.

What were the dimensions of the other original pictures?

Looks like they are of three different sizes, 860 x 540, 3264 x 1736, 5312 x 2988

Marc,

Give this a try and see if you can live with this version.

Thank you very much! I had tried cropping it that way too but failed. this should hold it over for awhile.

Thanks again Ernie! :D

Marc,

I used Photoshop. Here's how:

Open a new file with the dimensions of 451 x 325.

Added a new layer (just my preference).

Re-sized your original using the 'height' of 325.

Pasted the image into the new layer and moved it sideways until it looks fairly even on each side.

Flattened all visible layers and saved as jpeg.

This will work most of the time unless you have a picture with something that takes up to much width with what you want to show.

I'm in here quite a lot so if you ever have another one that you can't get fixed let me know and I'll give it a try.

Sometimes I can't help with coding issues in the forum but I can give back this way and don't mind doing that at all.

Ernie,

I tried following your directions, but I did not have any luck. The 8th and 9th pics, with the trucks, are the only others that are obviously off. I will try a few more things, but I think I missed a step somewhere from your directions.

Do you have the original file open, resize it, then create new file with the 451 x 325 dimensions, then copy/paste it in to new file? (It shouldn't matter, but I have an older version of Photoshop 6.0)

Marc,

I've got CS3 so I think you have a newer version.

It doesn't matter which way you go. I just create the new file and drag it to the side. Then open the original, re-size it, select all, copy and then paste it into the new file. Then select the 'move' icon and you should be able to use your keyboard arrow keys to move the image where you need it. With your image all I had to do was move it sideways to get it looking like it is now.

let me know if you can get it to work or need more help.
