I have just purchase the CC HTML editor and CSS menu builder. My current website was developed using Frontpage. I have a lot to learn and I am sure I will be needing help from your gurus.

I would like to be able to do something like what is done in the following link. You click on the thumbnail and it overlays the picture. Clicking on the picture closes the overlay and returns you to the previous page. Can you do this using the CC HTML editor?

Thanks in advance,

That's not something that is part of CC HTML Editor, but it's available via Lightbox which you can get info about in a lot of different places. Doing a search in Google I came up with this, which is a good thing as I was looking for this myself too, just hadn't taken the time to search yet hehe.

Hope that helps, and give Google a shot if this isn't the type you're after :)

BTW, it's called a Modal Window in case you want to try different types of searches :)

Hi Roger
Not quite what you want. But I converted this site from Frontpage.
The page lets you click on a thumbnail and goes to another page with enlsarged images and some text. You may be able to adapt or give you some ideas.
However instead of clicking on the large image to return to the thumb nail I added a link back to the thumbnail.
Is a bit crude but may give you a workaround
Here is the link

A little off the subject but has to do with images not showing correctly, what would cause my images to show up differently on my local PC, see attached file:

That file is so small I can't hardly see anything. But if you aren't converting your images for the web, than you'd lose some color information when viewing the images on the internet.

Also, Coffee Cup programs tend to compress files. Did you make this with CSS Menu Builder? I need more information about HOW the graphics was created and what you used to upload it in order to answer your question well.

Yeah, sorry about the size, hopefully this one will help. it's funny cause as you can see, only the one image is showing up different, its a faint yellow color, it should be green. this is only in FireFox and my home PC, BTW. at my office it looks great....not sure what the problem is....

the image was created the same as the other in PS and i use coffeeftp to upload the files.

IE is on top and FF is on the bottom.

I've been noting actually that FF has a little worse quality in displaying graphics than IE8 does, usually it's clearer in IE8 so that may be part of what is going on here. I need to go post that on FF forums or see if anyone has already I guess. Not sure why it would show differently on the computer vs. web other than that sometimes some graphics just don't look as good online as offline, other than that, not sure.

I didn't realize that any browsers manipulated graphics by default, guess I havva lot to learn. :)

lol no worries Chad, it's something I didn't realize until a couple weeks ago or so when my friend and I were building his wedding site. He posted some photos on himself and his fiance and we tested the site in both browsers and that's when we noticed that FF is actually a little cloudier than IE8 is. Go figure.

Hello,

I'm on a pc, 4 Gigs of ram, 64 based computer, Gateway, Windows 7

On my website, I am only able to get an outline of my pic, the name of the pic and a broken icon

Have you any ideas how to fix this?

Thank you,

Canary Burton
