Godaddy hosting, error messages a naught else

Hi, I am hosting on Godaddy. I can get the log-in page to pop up as it should for either a folder or a page.

Other forum posts say you can password protect either.

No matter what, when the username and password are entered it always goes to an error page.

At present : http://www.americandashiki.com then http://www.americandashiki.com/wholesale.html page has a link to 'log in or sign up'.

Clicking on this link should open the log-in popup screen (it does) and then go to http://www.americandashiki.com/wholesal … heets.html when the proper username and password are entered (it does not).

So far I have updated this back and forth from password protecting the folder to password protecting the wholesale page. Each time I do so, I use another ftp program to manually delete the htaccess file and the htpasswd file and then upload clean new copies from WAM.

Can anyone help? I have checked the forums. Others have had similar issues, but the answers are either vague or not vague and not working.

Thank you in advance!

I get the popup for sign in using the link you posted. Which browser are you using?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
