I have tried everything to get this the work I have changed it so may times I can't even explain what I have done.
But I do know I haven't ever got this to work fully.
I get frustrated and give up.
I have gone through the
Website Access Manager Quick Start Guide many times
The server root comes back with this when I do auto detect-
/var/chroot/home/content/62/9680362/html
and this is the error message i get.

Hey Rick, hang in there, the program works great!

First off, not knowing exactly what you've done, I'd say start over.
First double check your compatibility ...

If that is good, go to your FTP Settings.

Put in your website, then your FTP details. Please note that your username/password have to be an FTP username/password set up on your server. Case in point...I have a GoDaddy server. I log into my account with a username/password. That IS NOT an ftp username. I have to go to my control panel and create an ftp account with a username/password. Those are the credentials you'll need to put in here. Not every server is the same. You may have to contact your server to find out what your ftp username/password is and/or how to create one.

You can auto-detect your server. But under the 'Choose You Home Directory' option ( at least for me ) it's usually just a '/'

If all goes well, you should see a screen like this, showing your server directory tree.

If that all works then you should be ready to create your protection.
If you need help with that then just post back. Hope this helps you.

Thanks Gunsmoke,
I have one domain for the server holding the other websites, so going all the way back to the root did it.
I might of figured that out, but with the frustration of knowing it was probably something simple made it worst.
Now I can play with the emails and other parts before I rll it out.

I'm not sure Rick. With WAM I send a password to a user and they access the area I've allowed them to use. If they lose the password they have to email me to get it.

I am pretty sure that in WAM you can use a 'redirect' based on the error generated. You'd have to google for help or wait for someone else (Scott maybe) to chime in.

Basically ( I think ) if you go to the 'Server Config', then go to 'Redirection', then click 'Add Rule', I think you can put in a rule that will redirect to another URL if you get a bad password. On that page you could put a form (WFB) where a user could request their password.

Doing it automatically gets to close to writing code for me. I'm not really a coder. Sorry I couldn't be more help but someone else may jump in here . . . :P

Ok now that I look at it, I see that it's just templates and not auto responders or part of the login box.
I guess it would be good to add an email link on the login area so they could email you.
