Hello all!
I recently decided to try out Webcam v4.0 - downloaded the trial and installed it, and I must say it looks impressive. The UI is great, and it functions well for the most part. I'm having a problem though and was wondering if anyone else has run into this. The program starts and functions fine, but when I attempt to close it I get an error msg "invalid floating point operation". I can click OK and the window closes, but I have to manually kill the VidCam process, as the tray icon no longer responds to mouse clicks. Here's my system, if anyone has any ideas let me know!
Windows Vista Ultimate x64 SP1
Intel Core2Duo E6750 @ 3.2GHz
MSI P35 Neo2-FR Motherboard
4GB (2 x 2GB) OCZ DDR800
GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB
GeForce 6600 GT 128MB
Audigy2 ZS Platinum
Logitech QuickCam Communicate Deluxe
Everything is updated with the most recent driver revisions.
Thanks!

I see you are running in a 64bit environment. We've had other users report issues with other programs since our software is not 64bit compatible at this time. Have you tried installing the software in safe mode to make sure no other programs are conflicting with the install process?

Hello there,
I just thought it would a good idea to let you know I think the Webcam software and Windows Vista may cause problems. I was using it on my laptop and the same error came up and had to do a reboot. now my laptop will not boot in to windows. looks like something has gone wrong in the boot config and the Windows repair can't fix the problem. Looks like I am going to get to do a reload of my OS tonight.

Hello there,
I did a reload on my laptop this weekend to check and see if there was a problem with my computer. Installed all of my drivers and setup my webcam to give CoffeeCup WebCam a clean system to run on. The program started fine and gave me no problems setting up to send to the web. but I did still get the "invalid floating point operation" when I try to close the program. here is the setup of the laptop I am using.
Acer Aspire 9410-2028 with a Intel Dual-Core 1.73GHz cpu
2 Gigs of Ram
120 Gig hard drive
Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit
so far I have not had to reload again.

Sounds like a coding runtime error to me.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!
Sounds like webcam doesnt like vista sp1 and coffeecup doesnt do anything about it?
Hello there
I am guessing there is no answer for this problem yet. A we are looking in to this would be nice. but maybe I am asking for to much.

well you have 2 flags that are going to work against you...
your running a 64 bit OS,, and vista may not like this program. but your biggest flag plain and simple your running a 64 bit operating system
