so far, I am not liking it !!

Seems it wants to stop upload after a few mins. I am now trying to keep the webcam software panel up and see if that makes a difference.

anyplace i can down the prior release ?

You might want to drop'em a message from the Contact page to see if they can give you an earlier version. I'm not sure what their rules are for things like that. http://www.flashstrap.com

well last night i left the webcam software window up and that seems to keep it running longer, it lasted for almost 6 hrs. before it just quit.

By keeping the "window up," do you mean you were previously closing the program or just minimizing? I'm quite certain the program lacks the option to run in the background as a service, so if you close the program, it will no longer record. http://www.flashstrap.com

I had the same problems with WebCam 4 - stopping after a few hours. The only suggestion I got from Tech Support was that perhaps my hardrive was turning off power to itself. Checked setting not so - yet still happened.
I have reverted to WebCam 3.5 and it works very well except - I am getting Error 260 and 550????????

But where did you get version 3.5?
I got a new computer and only had the option to download the most recent version.
I'm having two issues. I can't refresh the image as often as I'd like because my FTP server gives error messages. The only thing I can come up with is that the pictures are better (and larger) so they're not uploaded fast enough before CC tries to upload the next one.
My other problem is sound. I get so much feedback. I want to just disable sound in the new version alltogether.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
