Invalid Floating Point Operation

I am a new User to CoffeeCup Software & have liked using the Web Form Maker so far. Only real problem was I couldn't truly test the software without buying due to the Banners added so I just purchased the Web Master set based on the limited use I had.

I had been trying to test as many of the 27 programs as I could until I tried the WebCam & the Video Recorder. I first tried the WebCam & at first it didn't work at all until I tried security camera setting then it worked fine. So next I moved on to the Video Recorder & all it does is start up & the Camera blinks a few times then the program has a warning message Invalid Floating Point Operation. After this I just had to close program but the camera light stayed on continuously until I opened Task Manager & ended the Coffeecup video recorder process.

What I have done to try to solve this is removed the video recorder with Revo Uninstaller & Reinstalled. This didn't fix the issue so I signed in here & searched for an answer with no good answers.

Does anyone here know what may be causing this I don't think it is the camera since it works with WebCam.

Oh Computer is a:
HP Notebook with built in Camera running Vista.

Update it is giving same warning in video player if I try to record.

Thanks In advance
Billy Everyone has an opinion & this is just mine sorry if it offends anyone.

Well Guess I am the only one with this problem Weird LOL.

Not Resolved but CC Tech support says they know about the problem & are working on a fix. I hope the fix comes soon since I spent allot of money on this software. Everyone has an opinion & this is just mine sorry if it offends anyone.

Hey McGyver210,

FYI: the CC web camera video recorder only records from your web cam. That being said (I have an HP notebook also) Your HP should have come with a great program that not only records from your webcam, but also has some cool special effects. Its called "Cyberink YouCam". Just click the windows icon and type "cyber" in the search. If for some reason, you don't have this program on your computer goto: www.download.com. Search for webcam recorder, or something like that. You can also filter the search (on the left) for free, vista software. I get most of my programs here, and legally don't pay a dime (thank God for freeware) Hope this helps.

Thanks bk431010

I also like Freeware I just haven't looked around for anything for video stuff. My son is wanting a software that he can use to make & ad credits etc to his YouTube videos. I made the mistake of telling him I bought a package with software that may work now that Coffee Cup doesn't & they said a fix would be available I get asked by a 13 year old everyday if they fixed it yet. Hm maybe I should uninstall the vid stuff from mine & try it on his lap top since it is a different model.

Im also going to be working with vids for our site soon though I guess I may have to hunt for a new program.

Thanks again for the response. Everyone has an opinion & this is just mine sorry if it offends anyone.

I am having the same problem. You'd have thought they'd have a fix by now.

Still no fix? I hope it comes soon I would hate to have to go to another kind of software to get something that works I also have a HP notebook with Vista

Still not working & I have given up on support for this. I would definitely think twice on purchasing the web master pack since what actually works for me would have been cheaper in smaller packages.

I am very happy with some of what I purchased though & would purchase again. I personally think it would be good to fix existing software instead of creating new software just my opinion.

Trying not to be all Negative but I can't honestly be all positive either. Everyone has an opinion & this is just mine sorry if it offends anyone.

I find it amazing that there are no other software companies out there that have known problems with a program upon release!

The thing that I appreciate most about CC so far (aside from the usefulness of their product) is that they are so Pro-active in taking care of those problems. I've never seen Bill G. on a forum discussing any issues with the users of MS anything (and we all KNOW that every MS program has flaws, we just tend to learn to live with them and joke about them "Blue screen of death!"). Other than using Open-source software, I've never seen a company that was so open to listening to their customers wants and needs and giving an honest evaluation on the likelyness of applying in a future release. And other than Freeware, I've not seen a company that offered the kind of value that CC offers with Update for life.

Honestly, is there a company out there that compares with CC? I'd love to hear about them if there is, so I can add them next to CC on my list of valued software vendors. Who needs sleep?

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
