I'm use to the older versions of webcam that worked on my xp pc. I use to be able to define the stored jpegs on my local folder using a date/time number sequence. But that is not available with 4.1.
Also this download will not store grabs to my local folder unless I manually ask it to take a picture.
Besides using this as a webcam, I also use it to keep an eye on the house, so it's useful to be able to see who is on my property during the day. Being able to review the grabs is a nice feature to have.
Also when I try to close out the program, it won't close, and I have to bring up the task manager.

Hello,
Some of the controls used in Webcam 3.5 (chiefly the camera cycler) are not supported by Vista, so those functions had to be removed from the software. Our developers have been looking for replacements, so we can try to add them back in, but there's nothing available yet. It should also be noted that the software wasn't specifically designed to work in 64-bit operating systems. Although a few users have been able to get it to function, we're seeing a lot of issues with Vista 64-bit right now.

I read your above post. I am having WebCam issues as well and is not working on my Vista 64 bit. This is a problem. Because I need it for web streaming. So when is an upgrade going to be available that works in 64 bit? If I have no other choice but to go to a 3rd Party to buy a software program that works, then I just wasted my money with CC. Please advise when the update will be available to CC customers. Thanks!

I am sorry but we have no plans to support 64-bit systems at this time. Maybe someday, but it will not be anytime soon if we do.
Something to look over:

Normally, Coffeecup products work pretty well, and the support is pretty good. But I am not seeing a lot of solutions posted.
I have the code for the webcam in my page and when I go to the page the player is visible. But for some reason it wont stream to the website. The port is open. Looks like it is trying to connect, but cant.
I can view the streaming video from the webcam software, and I can even see the mms url, but I cant see it on the web page. When i try to view from the mms url, it says that windows media does not support that format.
Has any one found a solution for this? I always knew that someday I would be on this road, but yesterday I didn't know today would be the day.

I guess the thing I am wondering is if this software is compatible with Windows 7; since my control panel shows the last update was in 2007, it seems unlikely that it would work with Windows 7. No big deal if that's the case, I can find another software for this if I need to, unless CC plans on an update...
How about CC update the software and then begin selling it again? That way you can justify the cost of the update! Chad Spillars

Yes it is.
It's so easy to overlook something your not looking for.
