Some bugs in Jukebox

Hello! I thought I'd list some bugs I have found with the copy of Web Jukebox I purchased from you folks...

1) It says it is version 2.0, not 3.0. I was told that is a "typo" and that I do have version 3.0.

2) I had to download your free ftp program to get the Web Jukebox program to upload the files. Prior to doing that, it would just sit there when I clicked on the UPLOAD NOW button. Of note, your free ftp program is slower than molasses in January.

3) SHUFFLE does not appear to work. I have 28 songs in the play list, listed alphabetically by song title. It plays the songs alphabetically whether or not I tick the shuffle box under jukebox settings or if I tick on the shuffle on the website using the "Cool Black 2 Medium" skin.

4) Speaking of skins, Black Bar 5 looks exactly like Three Buttons Medium. No difference whatsoever.

Hi There Karl

I went and had a look at your web site - must admit that it was a nice suprise to see another Christian site out there.

I have had no problems with Jukebox as yet. I do find though, that sometimes when I upload, lets say, CC Flash Photo Gallery after making some changes, it does not seem to have changed at all, no effect. I found though, that if I remove all the files associated with it, then upload afresh, everything seems to work just fine.

I am planning to use the Jukebox as a type of podcast for our church. My Priest wants to be able to record about 10 minutes worth of spiritual radio if you like. Prayers, song, scripture readings and the like. I think that that would be a good idea, not everybody wants to download masses of media onto their computers these days. Mark Loves CoffeeCup

Hey, guys, new member here. A friend did something super nice and bought me a copy of Web JukeBox. I came here to download and read up about it, when I discovered a major problem with JukeBox. If you have Download Express installed on your computer it bypasses whatever coding JukeBox uses and starts downloading the mp3 files directly from the host server to your computer's harddrive if you have your D.E. setting set to save to disk. If I have the settings set to open the mp3 is downloaded into iTunes and plays through it instead of JukeBox. The RIAA will have a field day with this if it isn't fixed. I hope you find a fix for it soon, because I think it's a great little program and look forward to using it on my blog site. I especially enjoy the skins. I contacted support about this flaw, but so far have not heard back from anyone.

Peace,
DigiGirl

Hey Scott -

Will V4.0 of Jukebox have it to where you can set it so that an mp3 file will stop automatically when it reaches its end before repeating (if its the only mp3 used) or advancing to the next track (single/continuous), and maybe the ability to stop the file instead of just pausing it?

Unfortunately there is no way around that unless we embed all the data into flash, but then the file could still be downloaded but it would now be in an .swf file. ~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~

I think the RIAA should be more concerned with Download Express if that's what allows people to access files not normally accessible (like DVD ripping software). :) http://www.flashstrap.com
