Web Image Studio - Installer Issue

I signed up for the recent promotion that included the Web Image Studio. However, when I attempt to install it I briefly see the spash screen for the Web Image Studio installer followed by a dialog box that says "Msi launch conditions failed. Installation aborted." I downloaded it again, attempted to install again, etc. but consistently receive the same error message.

This is a fairly new PC (Windows 7 64-bit); I therefore recently installed many other CoffeeCup programs on it and they all installed and worked fine.

Thoughts and/or suggestions?

Thanks,

Tom

Try right clicking and "Run as Administrator". Living the dream, stocking the cream :D

Unfortunately, same outcome.

And, on a related note, I am logged in as an Administrator anyway. I'm not sure if Windows 7 handles this in the same way though.

At any rate, "Run as administrator" seemed not to matter to the installer at all. Good thought though.

No idea why this one is being a problem.

I just had to reinstall it on my Windows 7 64bit. The program had installed, but I was getting a blank screen when I tried to open the file. I did a fresh install and just ran it from the download. It is now working perfectly... excellent program.

My virus software did try to block the install, but I "Allowed" it. You may want to check that. "If you always do what you always did, then you will always get what you always got."

I had already thought about the virus software possibly causing issues and tried pausing that before my second install attempt. However, it still might have caused some problem given that it may have interfered the first time around. I'm going to try restarting the PC and then installing again with virus protection disabled from the start.

Andrew, I had the same thought just after I made the purchase. It's unclear to me exactly how this has anything to do with the Web Form Builder really. Additionally, the graphics are a proprietary WIF file format and therefore only work with the Web Image Studio that will not install. Minimal cost but lesson learned.

Still looking forward to seeing the new "right around the corner" Web Form Builder. It's been in development forever; hopefully it works a bit better than the Web Image Studio.

It's really not worth putting more time and effort into getting Web Image Studio to work. Just not that important so I'm going to move on to other things now.

TC - Off top of my head, one other thing you could try is to run in "Compatibility Mode" and try Win XP... Aside from those suggestions, I'd reckon you should contact tech support - via your support room and open a new support ticket. CC Staff does pop in here frequently, but you will get a direct response from them that way (this forum is more of a user to user support group). Living the dream, stocking the cream :D
