On sales page for WIS it shows you how to change the Deep Red to Purple. But I can only do it if I have the wif file - all I have is the png file.

Am I missing something here or is wif file available?

Hiya Keith,

Use the Add Image button to bring in images that are not WIF files. Then you can use the tools to adjust things with them like you can the WIF files.

Tried that but the color palette does not pick up the colors. From searching it will only do it with a wif file. Yes you can import an image and change with Image Edit but that is not so easy.

I am using Ver 1.0 build 3348.

I note they were looking for beta testers so I have just emailed Scott.

hmm that's strange because I brought that exact image into my program when they added that feature and adjusted it. Granted it's not pretty lol, and neither is their example on the website it just is hard to tell on theirs. I do think you are right though that it doesn't pull in the full color palette as it pretty much adjusts "all" colors not just the tulips colors so everything gets that shade of purple (or whatever color you change to) instead of just the part you want changed.

I'm in on the beta testing (though I've been down on the job due to a severe case of "easter egg eye syndrome").
From what I've seen, only the WIF files have all the quick color palette and effects options. When I bring in PNGs or JPEGs, only the the Image Editing options will work. The tulip image on the info page has the "pop" effect applied to it.

If they ever get this where image files can be altered like WIFs... Watch out Photoshop!:D
OK, I know PS does so much more, but it's overkill for a lot of image editing tasks.
I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by. (Douglas Adams)

Yeah true that Paintbrush on all accounts.

I wouldn't look for the program to ever do the same with .png, .jpg, or .bmp or any of the other file types that aren't vector style images already. I don't think it's actually possible to do it with images that aren't. They may be able to incorporate it to use the same setup for files that are vector images other than WIF though someday. That alone would be an awesome addition to the program.

So the question is:

Is the wif file available?

I have now got the latest beta version to work with, I suppose I could ask in beta forum. They can always say no.

Solved.

I sort of had it all along but had not installed the wisp file.
