Have an idea for a new feature or enhancement to an existing one? Add it here.
Hi there CoffeeCup,
I installed this software yesterday, along with the other two CoffeeCup OSX beta software and checked this one out. All looks easy to use, but I haven't found anything that creates a watermark (CoffeeCup-made or custom-designed by the user) for images, which would be really handy for people who need their images watermarked. Could we have this feature added, please?
The watermark output could be one line of text, several lines of text, an image, maybe even more than one image or a combination of all those. The feature could have a choice whether or not the watermark needs to be displayed once, or repeatedly over a certain part of an image (user to specify the given area), or repeatedly all over the whole image.
If a watermark feature were to be added, I would love to have the option of saving the watermarks created for future use or using it for something I only need it for once.
Perhaps this feature could also be useful for putting into things like MS Office or pdf files, or on website pages themselves (inter-usable with the other CoffeeCup OSX software?)
Also, it would be handy for the user to be able to adjust the transparency of the watermark to suit the image, document or website page that requires watermarking.
This is just an idea, as I currently create a lot of watermarking for my client by creating each one she needs individually in the software program I had prior to receiving this CoffeeCup software, saving it as an image, then adding the newly created image on top of the image that needs watermarking, moving and resizing to fit, adjusting transparency, then merging with the underlying image that needs the watermark, then saving the whole thing with a completely different file name. The whole process takes me hours for each image she needs watermarked because the software I had is difficult to use and the moving and resizing of the watermark part is different for each piece she needs done due to the different sizes of her original images - and for me it is a continual experiment with the left and top offset (x and y in CoffeeCup software) numbers in the other software to get the watermark into the place it is needed, hence the time-consuming task I spend hours doing.
I would be very grateful if CoffeeCup can add a watermark feature to assist with getting watermarks done quickly and efficiently.
Thanks.

hi CoffeeCup,
great job with WIS; it's a user-friendly and effective tool.
one suggestion on the wish-list: under the "Edit" menu, it would be helpful to have the "Undo" and "Redo" commands have the specific action that you're Undo/Redo-ing.
now if only i could also have an undo button for some of my real-life goofs...
Being able to use vector patterns for objects color instead of just colors would be nice.

Hello CoffeeCup,
I'm just working on a new logo for my website and found some small extra functions to be missing in the current Mac version of Web Image Studio.
I would like to combine some simple shapes into one complex shaped object by combining the basic shapes using binary operations (add, subtract, XOR etc.). This would make things a lot easier if I want to change the logo background later on or simply copy the logo object onto different backgrounds. This is also a nice and easy way to quickly create complex shapes. I did not find a way to do this in the Mac version of Web Image Studio 1.0.
I also noticed that you sometimes cannot properly undo effects by using the effects buttons on the right side if you use them on an object group (with properly grouped objects) instead of just a single object. The undo function from the edit menu works correctly though, so effects for grouped objects can at least be reset within the current editing session. Would be nice to see a fix here in the next version...
Apart from this, I really like Web Image Studio. Keep up the good work!
Greetings,
Markus.

Request:
The ability to EXPORT shapes as HTML5 Canvas source code. Fireworks CS5.5 is already supporting this. I imaging that when Fireworks CS6 gets released, it will have even more features like this.
Cheers,
Bill

Great product, but the image gallery from your web site is delivered in Windows EXE format only. It would be real useful to have a DMG file for download that Mac users could download and skip having to extract the files on a PC. It would be nice to have the collection of images in WIF format available to Mac users in a native format.
What a terrific, easy to use, and intuitive graphics editor. Two things I'd like to see added are masking and image slicing. Best regards.
It would be nice to have context sensitive cursors, and to be able to adjust the position of the highlight in radial gradients.
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
