magical email address verification -...

Hi Eric,
Help needed again, please.
The code works brilliantly on the one form but I can't get it to work on any of my other forms no matter how much I tweak the code.
All of my forms are in the process of being updated along with the website (I HATE Windows10 so I now have a Mac - hence the rebuilds).
What do I have to change in the code to get the magical email to work on my other forms?
Thanks in advance,
Pete.

The email verification is email85_verification not email72_verification
Then you need to look at your source code to figure out what your trying to hide or show.
Your code has #item698 and you don't have any ID's with that name.

Hi Eric,

I must be missing something somewhere .....

I have four forms that I am trying to get updated initially with making it that it's not possible to continue completing the form until the email is correct and verified. You gave me the code to get the first one to work and then pointed me in the right direction to get a second one to work but try as I might using Mac Web Inspector, I just cannot see why I am unable to get the other two to work.
I have put one on a test page (link below) hoping that I can prevail upon your help again, please.

Pete

Hi Eric,

I've put the second form here. For some reason there is an instance where the email ID is changed to "A15-Email" and I don't know why.

On this one http://www.tvbr.org.uk/test/page1.html
The verification email is O14email_verification but you have it set to email52_verification in the JQuery.

On this one http://www.tvbr.org.uk/test/page2.html
The email verification is A15-Email_verification but you have it set to email30_verification in the JQuery.

Sorry Eric, I can't see where the error is because all I have done is to copy the one that you gave me for the first form and just changed the IDs.
It has worked fine on one other form but not on these two.
I have printed the code for all four to compare but I still cannot see where I'm going wrong.
The reason for doing this is because we are getting too many incorrect emails and receiving "mail delivery failure" as the person filling in the form is not getting the response.

Change the email verification in the Jquery to match what I posted to reflect what is actually being used as the name of the input. You just have them wrong. You need to remember that the form builder assigns different ID's and names automatically to elements.
