resizing the calendar

I have not yet used Web Calendar, but I want to add a calendar on the home page of a city website. How small can I make the calendar & have it still look good & function properly? Do you see the events on the calendar or can more details be displayed next to the calendar on the website when a date/event is clicked?

I am very famililar with HTML editor-have used it for year, but may use a theme for it or Visual Site Designer, since the css's I've done in the past haven't been as detailed as they need to be now.

Thanks for any info.

I think 200px wide is the minimum. All the details of an event is displayed in the calendar when you click on a date, not on the page outside the calendar. Ha en riktig god dag!
