I downloaded the demo for the Web Video Recorder. I installed it, and recorded a small video. Went to export the file, and all that was available was a .flv format. Is that all that the program can export too? Other than this software, I don't have anything that uses an .flv format.

Oh, I installed that other software with the Recorder, but didn't seem to do anything for exporting.

thanks,

flv = streaming flash video

Probably the best you can use for web pages as it starts to view immediately and doesn't need to download the entire file first like avi, mov etc do.

Along with what Mike's saying, this app is designed for video on the web and cuts out the middleman of having to record to avi/mpg and later converting to FLV w/ another app. If you want to create/edit videos, say for homemade DVDs, you're better off with Windows Movie Maker or some other Roxio-type video-editing suite. http://www.flashstrap.com

I see what the purpose of the program is now. Okay..makes sense now. Thanks for your replies.
