I just purchased and installed the Web Video Player. I wish I had used a trial before buying because the program doesn't work.
When I try to convert WMV files I get an error message.
Run-time error "429': Active-X component can't create object.
I tired several different WMV files with the same result. The WMVs play fine and and video converters will convert them.
This is very disappointing as I expect CoffeeCup products to be high quality.
Sorry you had that happen. I just did a Google Search for that error and it looks more like an operating system issue. If you go to http://www.google.com/search?client=saf … p;oe=UTF-8 you can find quite a few knowledge base posts on Microsoft's Website.
Hopefully one of those will help you out.

Scott,
Thanks for your reply. I just noticed that I posted this in the wrong forum. It should have been in the Web Video Player forum.
None of the other video converters and players that I have tried and used have thrown out this error. I just looked in the Web Video Player forum and this seems to be something that is not uncommon with this software. I made a mistake purchasing this program.
