I create a flv files by using Aiseesoft Total Video Converter. After creating the flv files I start CC Web Video Player. There I can select a skin I created in Photoshop. After selecting the skin and adding a couple of flv files it previews fine. I then click on save.
So here's the question--where exactly do I save the file in my website subdirectry?
Here is the file strucure:
ASL
---- trial asl_website
-------- files
-------------download
Also, after saving, I want to publish. Where do I publish do, given the same file structure on the server.
I've tried to figure out how VSD saves files, but it is beyond me. Seems they are scattered all over those subdirectories.
Thanks,
Galen

In VSD Just click on the add flash tool on the left hand panel and browse to the XML file created by the gallery when you saved it and VSD will automatically add all the necessary files to their proper place.
I can't hear what I'm looking at when it's so easy to overlook something I'm not looking for.

Wow.. Eric you're all over the forum!!! So your advice is don't upload with the CC Web Video Player. Just let it create the files and let VSD upload. Got that.
But to my first question, when I click on save in CC WVP it wants me to save it somewhere and based on the file structure in VSD I'm not sure which subdirectory to save it in. After it is saved then I go to VSD and click on the flash tool.
So... maybe I should be saving it somewhere completely different than in the website directory????? Then use the flash tool??? and browse to wherever I saved it??
Thanks,
Galen

In CCWVP save it to a folder in a safe place that can be easily backed up. I have a dedicated folder in My Documents. That's where I save all my external files for my website. That way I don't delete them by accident.

Ok, I will give that a try. That's probably why things were so messed up. I thought I had to save them in the VSD website folder.
Thanks so much. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Eric,
Thanks for your help. That has cleared up many issues I have been having with VSD. I've cleared out my VSD folder, placed all my flv files in a separate folder along with the associated xml code. Did not upload any thing with Web Video Player and let VSD do it all. Works great!!
One other question. If I decided to rename or relocated the folder I now save my flv files to, will that have negative affect with VSD??
Thanks,
Galen
ps: I'm almost ready to publish this site to it's real location. First I have to break up the site into ASL 1 and ASL 2. Each will be separately password protected. Right now it is still at:

If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

Yes, If you rename the folder VSD will not know where to look for the files. So you'll have to re add the gallery xml file to VSD for the CCWVP.
