After reading about Web Video Player, it seems great for including video's on websites...

But can you use it to also send video's in emails ???

We're looking for something that can do both...

Just one other observation - reading through some of the postings, they seem very "techie"...

Is there much hope for someone like me to use Web Video Player who's computer skills are "fairly ordinary" ???

CoffeeCup programs are all EASY - it's just when people want to use them for things other than what they're designed for that us techies try to help out...

If you can browse to the vids on your pc and paste a wee bit of code in your page where you want the Video player to appear... - you've done it

Unfortunatley i dont think it will go in an email - not sure - but flash movies are not something you can usually email - we'll see if anyone else can clarify that one eh... Have fun

There are some of us like to pretend that we can use big techie words to talk about software and web development - then there are those who really know what they are talking about! But don't be put off by the smoke...........dig deep to see if there is really a roast cooking in there somewhere! I'm sure you will find a lot of little sausages along with the roast.

I am, pretty sure that this can not be used in emails. Certainly not out of the box.

The wonderful thing about this programme is that it is simplicity itself for sticking video on your web pages. But I agree with Fe, Flash Movies are not email friendly. I don't think I have seen one in an email before. Not quite the same, but you could always put a link into the email which when clicked, opens up a web page with your video in.

I'm with Mark on this one. I'd post a link to a web page hosting the video player. Most email related to video clips (thank goodness) only send a link to go to actual video on a web site (not being forced to receive). Chances are, people don't want to see Receiving Email for 10 mins and if they're receiving email, they're obviously able to access the web. Then again, that's my preference. Luckily most aren't on dialup, unlike some unlucky few here. http://www.flashstrap.com

I agree Adam. I can't imagine anyone waiting all that time for the content to download. Put a link in your emails to your web page.

Welcome to the world of "looking like you really know what you're doing".

If you want to design a really good looking website, and (like me) know about as much about working on computers as grandma Moses. Then Coffee Cup is the way to go. Don't let the "techie" talk fool you. These guys (both the designers and the users) know how to get the answer to any problems to you in a manner that you will be able to understand.

Actually, if you take a little time and read some of the posts through (about a program that you have) even though you may not be experienceing that problem, you will find that you can learn a lot. Not only about that software but about web design in general and other related software. Also get CC's book on web design.

I know that if I can build a (so I'm often told) great looking website (just about) anybody can. Belive me I'm no "techie". I use CC a few small photo imagining programs and a little book published in 1999 that I picked up at a trade show (Teach Yourself HTML Visually). I don't know that you can get that book, but I think a book that will give you the basic HTML tags and their funtions will suffice, and that's only really necessary if you want to do some coding on your own. You can still build a grat site just using CC software.
