Hi, My computer is home made, Intel quad core, 4gb ram, vista, When I try to convert any video (Mpeg1, Avi) I get a message "Run Time Error 429: ActiveX component can't create object" I have tried to uninstall and install, but with the same result. I have gone to the properties of the program and said "Run this program in compatibility mode" for window xp service pack 2, but the same results, can someone help. Colin

Hi all, thanks for all the posts, I have found the problem, I went to the vista error log, this reported that there was a conflict with "Intel Viiv service", this is a service that is running on all vista computers, but is not required If you go into task manager and to "Show processes from all users" then to "Svchost" then click "Hide all Microsoft services", I disabled "Intel Viiv service", and that done it. There is alot of reported problems with this program and the "Dell XPS 420"

the same Error 421

Would that error # be 421 or 429? Colin's error was 429. If you can recreate the error, typing out the exact error message given would be most helpful.

If you get no luck in troubleshooting in the forums, be sure to call CoffeeCup directly as the forums are primarily user-to-user support. http://www.flashstrap.com

Ok, well I ended up getting the following error when I try to add a video.

Run-time error '429': ActiveX component can't create object.

How do I fix this?
Thanks,

You might want to submit a support ticket to the tech folks. Most of us here are just users like yourself.

Go to the top of the page and click "Account" and then there will be a "Your Support Room" you can click to get to the place to ask. There are two possible issues that can cause this:

1) The installation is bad. Reinstall the software.
2) Your Adobe Player is corrupt. Re-install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.
