I had the need to quickly get some video online for a client.
Decided to use CC Web Video Player.
Was very disappointed with the results. After rendering a pretty good .FLV flash video file and pulling it into CC Web Video Player, the resulting video quality for playback was horrible.
Took a look at the demo on the CC website for Video Player and saw that it was just as bad. Streaky video artifacts is just not up to par.
I ended up embedding FlowPlayer in the page code and got the quality I expected.
I am using CC Web Video Player ver. 5.2. I don't think it is worth the money at all... certainly not when I can get much better quality player for free. There aren't even any decent skins that came with CC VidPlayer. They all seem ancient to today's standard. Sorry to rant, but I am disappointed.

Have you had a change of hearth since your last post about the video player? I need a video player badly. Flowplayer looks great but I'm concerned that it might not play nice with the CC software. I appreciate your honesty. It's been a long time.
Hi Raymond,
The only thing I can suggest to you is to try The Web Video Player and see what you think, alot of things could have happened in converting, like running programs in the background for instance, give it a try. And as far as Flow Player, if it has a code you can copy into your page, then that's all you need to do other then upload the rest of the files to your server. ( Did you know you can make your own skins for Web Video Player Too?) "It's A Smart Person That Asks"

This is the first CoffeeCup Software program that I have bought that is a major disappointment. I plan to contact them on Monday and ask for a refund. There are free players that offer more features and don't throw out errors when trying to convert standard WMV files. There are video converters/players that have more features and flexibility and are in the same price range. I want more choices than small and large (and what CC calls Large is a joke). Most video converter/players allow you to configure the screen size in pixels.
CoffeeCup needs to upgrade their Web Video Player if they want to be competitive in this market.

I just downloaded the trial version. I used a .flv file I created in Premiere Elements and had the same poor results as MMedia Man. Then I tried to convert a .mpg file created in PE. Nothing happened at all! Unless anyone has any suggestions, I think I'll look elsewhere also.
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
