Why should I use this instead of just embedding a youtube video?
Why should you use youtube instead of CC Video Player?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's so easy to overlook something your not looking for.

Both will do the same thing, but this way, Matt, you do not need an outside membership and you control the complete experience without advertisements and what not that come with youtube.
You can add multiple videos to your site and also customize the video skins to match.
Maybe give free the trial a go and see if it meets your needs!
Cheers!

I may be missing something here but isn't there a downside to using the CC product in that you will have to pay your host for the bandwidth people use watching your videos? Even a professional account with Vimeo is much less than additional bandwidth on my website account.
If this is the case, (and I'm no expert) wouldn't it be fairer to include this sort of matter in the answers rather than leaving them as a puff for CC?

That's actually the mild downside David. The real downside is that it's a Flash player and cannot be seen on many mobile devices. Works slick as long as you can see it though, but that's the down side for me on it. Yes there is the bandwidth issue too just as important. The program works great though, just that the flash and bandwidth issues make it not so convenient if you have limited space or heavy mobile device traffic.

Will it support m4v format? We are getting that format from a surveillance camera.

Yes. What you have to do though is rename the extension to .mov so the program will see it. We have not updated it to show m4v in the list yet. ~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~
