I have just changed my own personal profile To Viv VSD & SCCP user

I think it may be helpful especially to new CC users asking questions in the forums , if they can see if the answers are coming from users of the program they are asking questions about, or answers from someone who likes to work in one or other particular program.

Personally i never go into forum for the HTML editor, i would be of no use in there at all

However PREDOMINANTLY HTML editor user are more competent probably than i will ever be, BUT when in the VSD forum asking someone to add " Insert the _blank tag into the <a href _blank tag... " to their website, is at the absolute least MIND BLOWING.

NO criticism, please please please, keep helping in VSD we need you all, but if under your profile is displayed :lol: Paintbrush :: Domain name expert :lol: or Eric :: VSD & special effects code,, :: ME :( VSD & SCCP :/ What the heck is <hashtag> :lol: :: I think it may help

Any thoughts on this or am i just being my usual simplistic I want it in WYSIWYG dumbo :P

And yes I agree doing it in VSD is no excuse for not learning some code, and yes the result would be better, but at 55 years and mainly for people who just want a website for themselves, its MIND BLOWING HONEST !!!

I have put the question to CC, mainly Scott, to see if its possible to implement a second line of profile to put it in there , so this thread might help push the idea if anyone else thinks its a good idea

I think it's a great idea VIV. I can remember what it was like to know nothing about websites. I try to keep that in mind when I help others.:) I can't hear what I'm looking at when it's so easy to overlook something I'm not looking for.

Viv, it's a bit frustrating to see "insert this code" answers to VSD questions – especially when they're for functions already built into VSD :D
I think it's great that it's easy to add to or customize a VSD site, but it's also good to know a very nice site can be created within VSD with no coding experience required. ;) It can be confusing when someone tells new VSD users that they need to write some code to get basic things done.
For beginners, I would suggest learning what's possible within the program before deciding if additional functions are even needed.

I do like the idea of adding some letters after my name. Although it won't be MBA or PHD... just VSD :lol: ...or maybe MOD (Master of Domains) – which I will earn after the next 3 transfers I need to do :lol:

Paitbrush, we just found your number 6 (MOD...VSD)

Under Forum tools over on the right side of the screen NOW, another heading required for Abbreviations and their meening.

MOD :: master of domains
VSD :: Visual Site Designer
HTML :: Technical coding for websites
ERIC :: earn't reputation implementing code :) Started using CC VSD in January 2009, I don't do HTML code, I have had appx £16,000 of sales from my SCCP & SCDP shop to date, Enjoying semi-retirement

Some people may not fully understand the acronyms in the title. Maybe the signature file is a better place? ~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~

You would have to click on every individual user to see that information, for this to work it would have to be in signature I think :) Karl Williams,

I was hoping for it to be immediately visible without needing to search, ie just a second line under our CC user name under our image so ugly mug with studs in forehead, underneath i had Viv @ jewelcraft, SO underneath that User of VSD & SCCP

Now i agree inger and others can list a whole pile of programs, i was really only aiming at for instance Inger might mainly display HTML editor, first its what she gives lots of advice on + others

Where as i would display VSD first + SCCP although i use lots of other programs i dont feel confident in them so i seldom give advice in those forums and leave it to others

So when a question is asked in HTML editor if theres 3 answers, 1 from me 1 from Inger & 1 from JoAnn its fairly obvious Inger and JoAnn are more likely to be accurate in their response than me

Likewise A question in VSD answered 3 times, 1 from JoAnn 1 from Inger, and 1 from me, chances are dumbo here with VSD first is more likely to have actually encountered the problem, as its all i use.

Often, you see the comment, "I dont personally use VSD so maybe someone else can answer it better"

Someone looking for SEO advice would no doubt be greatful to see SEO & HTML editor under someone's name

And i am sure now with SDRIVE someone with SDRIVE DOMAINS (SDD) under there name would be useful

Seemed like a good idea, but as Scott said, this could be hard to implicate. Started using CC VSD in January 2009, I don't do HTML code, I have had appx £16,000 of sales from my SCCP & SCDP shop to date, Enjoying semi-retirement
