My Kindle Won't Remember Passwords

So I got a deal on this Kindle on 'Kindle day' with Amazon, but it won't remember any passwords. I am thinking of sending this little treasure back if I can't get it to work. Does anyone speak Kindle in here?

Sorry, I speak Nook!

Are you talking about passwords (logins) for websites? Or something else?

Might I suggest to try the obvious and contact Amazon about it? Try a Google search too and see if there's anything there, it might be that you need to redo it to factory again (reset is what it's usually called on tablets and such) and see if something just wasn't installed right the first time. Just some suggestions, but I'm betting a Google search will answer it pretty quickly :)

@gunsmoke, it is for website passwords.

@joann, I have searched Google and tried a couple of things, but it has not helped. Yeah, Amazon support is probably the next best option, but was just checking in here to see if anyone "Kindled" and there was something obvious that I overlooked. :)
It's just frustrating to get something out of the box and have issues. :P

Start with the obvious :D

Scroll down to Step 5. Is the remember password box unchecked?

I have an old Kindle and recently put the Maxthon browser on it. Much better ;) I have no experience with the new Silk browser, so don't know if a different browser would be better or not.

@paintbrush, it is checked. I have not called the amaZon cs yet, but changing browsers might just be the trick!

@brian, thanks! It is funny!

Well, if checking it still won't remember your passwords, it seems like a flaw in that Kindle. Are there any updates available?
Maybe they can send a patch or fix of some sort.
Of course, maybe repeatedly smashing it on your desk has messed something up? :lol::lol::lol:

I think that the video is very therapeutic. A good header image for a computer repair shop web site.

@paintbrush, no updates that I can see, but I am going to call amazon later today and will let you know what they say. Everything seems to work perfectly except for that issue.
