I just spent about 15 hours on a demo for a company. The feedback was that they liked it, but it is always a gamble when you are building the demo. Does anyone else spend a lot of time with their demos like that? The quote was 9k+

Hey Rod,

When the quote is that high then yes. You want to spend time on the demo. However, most of the information you have for one customer can easily be used for the next. What I recommend is to draw up a default demo where you can add, remove etc to each of the clients you are going to demo.

This will greatly increase your output and allow you to spend less money on the push and have more time to work on the real content of a website.

Adam, I do agree on smaller jobs. Usually, I can figure some out, and most of the time if they contact you, a small website usually works out. It's the 2k+ site that seems to eat up my time. Sometimes they go, and sometimes they don't. ;-)
