Hi every one,
I would like to enable images to pop up in the center of screen, just as they do in coffeecup shopping cart software.

I must emphasise that this is not a popup window, but some fancy script that centers the image and doesn't class as an annoying pop up window.

As you guys at coffee cup have managed this with Shopping Cart software, is there any way that you can add a code snippet to Coffee Cup HTML editor, or is there already one in there, that I haven't seen.

your comments will be appreciated

The effect you are referring to is called a Lightbox effect.

Hi Mike,

Thank you for your reply, I did discover LightBox and have implemented it into my current website. The effect is superb.

PS: the link you posted looks far better that the site I found it on, It looks like that is the site of the owner/creator of Lightbox too so I think I will send a donation for his good work

Thanks.

Hi, Can we use this in VSD? If so, how exactly? Thanks.

Hi Sarah,

My understanding is that you can't use it with VSD, which is why I had to change a whole site to HTML editor from VSD, but if I am wrong, hopefully someone can point you in the right direction.

Hi Sarah,

The good news is you can use almost any app in VSD as you do with a regular html page. You just have to embed the app with the html tool.

I did have a sample up on the forum, but whoops!
I'll have to get it back later.

To give you an example of a lightbox used for videos(can also be use for images), go to http://abcomputered.com/skype and click on any of the thumbnails. I'm not trying to promote my affiliate links so just ignore them.

I thought the same about VSD for a long time, but later realized most applications will run out of the box with VSD, or with a little modification.

add: I need to update that page. At the bottom. I have a lot of keywords together. Now, that will hurt you on google if you do that.

Thank you for your replies. It is good to know that adding lightbox to VSD is possible. I know so little about these things, but I will experiment to see if I can make it work. Was just reading about Floatbox and will also try that. Amazing how many wonderful things there are to learn. Great site. thanks for sharing. Sarah
