This would be an awesome program to have, or maybe it could be an addition/update to Responsive Layout Maker Pro. Tables are giving me a fit right now. Before the limited release of RLMP I was working with the Lemonade framework and got a nicely responsive table that held up all the way down to 317 pixel screen width. I am so far unable to accomplish this with RLMP although, it could be right in front of me and I'm not seeing it.

It seems to me that you need to take another approach to tables in RLM. If you insert a table from the page elements, it will narrow down along with the page width, but the columns will stay next to each other, not drop below each other. You can achieve that by using the grid, or subgrid, then you can create the number of columns needed and float them.

I believe that is a wonderful idea. :) Lets see what can be done about that.

As Scott put it in another post :

That is actually not how you should be doing responsive design as it is never pixel based. Instead you use the slider to see how your content reacts as the viewport gets smaller and smaller. That is how you determine where a breakpoint should be at.

The more I use RLMP, the more I see that what you are saying is correct. I need to bring my thinking on page layout forward, stop thinking numbers, and start thinking content flow as screen sizes change.

I have solved my issue with the table that I was having, by simply having it in it's own row. I was still thinking "fixed" content..

Think "flow" not "size" is the responsive mantra.

I'm looking forward to Bootstrap 3 being added into RLMP. There are some nice ways of handling table data:
http://getbootstrap.com/css/#tables
There is also some good information on responsive tables here as well:
http://css-tricks.com/complete-guide-table-element/

I'm sure that CC can put together something to allow some very responsive tables to be created either within RLMP or as a standalone program.

Do keep in mind that tables are not taboo to use, only to use as layout management. Tables are still a great way to display your data in a nice organized fashion. So the suggestion is still a good one :)

Tables are great for tubular data. You can achieve the same look with css but that's probably only reasonable with a small amount of data. Large amounts can be displayed very fast with html tables just don't use them for general content display of your website. :)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.
