I found a thread in the forums here, from 2008, about CC coming out with a Poll Creator piece of software. Didn't happen?

I'm looking for a way to make a poll for http://www.PlanetaryBillOfRights.org/ rating each of the 2012 candidates with a number from 0-10 based on the chart in the book, which will be at the top of the poll page as a graphic. So it needs to have a numerical rating for each of 5 candidates and show the averages in the results page.

Anyone know if CC has that, or a free poll site that can do that and embed the code on our page using VSD?

The Planetary Bill of Rights Project site is designed with VSD.

http://progrower.coffeecup.com/simplepolls.html I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's so easy to overlook something your not looking for.

Here's my S-Drive site with
examples of what can be accomplished in VSD.

There are a ton of Poll type scripts available with a search in Google. Just need to do some footwork for things. Jo Ann

I actually found out it's more properly termed a Survey, because it has several questions in one. I managed to find a site to create it yesterday, at

http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/WEB22F5EBCSTJA/

but cant get the html code from them, to put it on the http://www.PlanetaryBillOfRights.org/ site with the necessary graphic chart at the top.

Yeah, I was asking about using VSD back then. I figured it out and the Planetary Bill of Rights Project site is now proudly designed with VSD. :P Melissa Brookstone

OK, got it!

http://www.planetarybillofrights.org/Ta … dates.html

I had to go back to the survey code and change the settings for width, then tweak them to fit the height of the page too. The only thing they won't let me do is change the top text to center it. I think you gotta get the pay service to be able to edit it now.

How's it look? Take the survey! :) Melissa Brookstone

I've been looking around. There are a lot of "free" website polls out there and they do next to nothing, unless you pay them monthly fees, big ones. Like how about $45 a month?!

Lots of junk for the "free" ones. They often won't make charts or graphs of the results, etc.

I'd pay $10-$20 for some GOOD software that would let me create sophisticated online polls and surveys for my sites, and show the results instantly after they were taken, as charts, graphs, numerical averages, etc. I don't care so much about fancy stuff like templates and skins, just the facts man.

Melissa do you have access to a cPanel for your server? If you do, check there and see if you have Fantastico or Scriptaculous setups in it. Usually I find it at the bottom of all the things in there. Anyways, if you have access to this, you have access to not only some awesome Poll software, but also a ton of other features as well.
