Thanks for the suggestin! Kind of dumb that I hadn't :rolleyes:BUT NO LUCK ... still doesn't work. Weird that it gets out at all, weird that it doesn't get to "Not Responding". Add "Run in Compatibility Mode" to my list of items that didn't work:)

It sounds like your virus protection has turned into a virus itself. Have you tried uninstalling it?

Same here! I have said this a hundred times in the forums before. If you use FireFox, for the Web and never install crap software, you will not get a virus. 15+ years and I have never had one. ;)

Hi, I am looking for help with the SiteMapper application. I can not get it to do anything whatsoever since I had (I am blushing to confess this) to have lunarpages switch my account to another domain name (www.gdppreviewer), having neglected to retain the old one.

I had an older vs of SiteMapper, discovered it would not work, so downloaded the latest vs (very nice) but it equally does nothing. I contacted support at lunarpages and they say the site is fine and the server is fine and my account is fine, so please contact CC about their application.

Just to be sure, I downloaded another sitemapper and it works fine, but I really want the CC site map. Please help me get it to work, because I have not a clue where to start troubleshooting this.

I have an old computer with XP SP3, and free vs of AVG and ZoneAlarm. I use FireFox 3.6.6. Incidentally, the other site mapper made a permission window pop up in ZA, but the CC SiteMapper did not not.

Thanks for your help!

What sort of issues are you exactly having? I just scanned your site on my system and I had no problems. I uploaded a sitemap to here so you can see it http://hotsync.net/gdp.htm

If you are getting some sort of error, can you tell me the exact message you are seeing?

Hi Scott,

I just try to make a site map by spidering my site, using the default settings. It says Site Map Results over an empty box. Blow the empty box it says File: [none] and below that, Total Files Found: 1

And there is an output folder pointing to My Documents. That's all. It seems not to find anything at gdppreviewer.com and I can't understand why. Thanks for your help.

Are you putting in the box "gdppreviewer.com" or "http://gdppreviewer.com"? You must put in http://gdppreviewer.com for it to work and make sure there are no spaces before or after the url.

I just tried that, http://gdppreviewer.com does the same as http://www.gdppreviewer.com, which I had been using. Nothing at all. I am so baffled. The other site mapper I downloaded works fine, but I don't like the output file, and anyway... I hope you will think of something else that can fix this.

Thanks for your prompt reply, Scott.

It could be our software is getting blocked by your firewall or anti-virus. I would suggest opening a support ticket and we can get one of our techs to take a closer look into this for you.

I don't have any idea what to tell you abt my problem - I've followed instructions, read the handbook (x3) and don't have the education to explain, but here goes. Sometimes a scan/search of my URL turns up "Not found" ... other times, it finds the URL but no links (there are a dozen or so) ... none of the tries has the 'look' I've chosen displayed. Twice something actually uploaded, but it was simply the URL in what I imagine is css which could not be altered or expanded.

I use XP, IE ... my url is http://caroleestrup.com/ and there are 5 other main pages, many images ... I don't use a local firewall/security program ... I even tried entering a sitemap by hand ... no joy! Unlike the others above, I feel sure my problem is one of ignorance ... help! :D
