Hi Coffee Cup Team,

Is it hard to put an Offline Payment Order or C.O. D. together with an Online Payment order so the costumers can choose?

Peace,

Hiya Sean,

There's no way within the program itself to setup any offline payment plan system, but.... if you have the ability to do invoicing on your own, or COD payments on your own (check out the various payment gateways to see what fits best for you and your area), what you CAN do is setup your shop as a Catalog (within the settings of the shop) where purchasing is not made in the program at all.

What you do then is create a page in the cart program (you can have up to 5 pages I believe) and make that page called Order Here or something. From here create a form using CoffeeCup's Web Form Builder and make it an order form. You can either use drop down menus for them to choose products, depending on the number of products you have, or you can have text boxes for them to fill in the item number or name etc. Put that form into that Order Here page and you're all set.

Have the user fill in their information just as if they were ordering online, without any credit card information as it's not secure enough to do that I don't believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong here please). Have it setup for billing or for COD depending on what you want to do.

It's not a hard thing to do at all this way, and you can still have an open shop for those that want to purchase online as well. Use the open one for online purchases and the catalog for offline. With the online purchases you can use the inventory control and if others purchase offline just go in and adjust that inventory manually and upload your changes to your online shop so you still have that benefit as well.

Should work pretty slick I would think. Let us know what you decide to do and good luck! :)

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
