SCCP and "Paypal Identity Token"

As I progress with my cart, I'm to a point where Shopping Cart Creator Pro is asking me for a Paypal Identity Token. For those other Paypal users out there, what is that ??? As I logged into my Paypal account, I could find information on "Paypal Security Key" but nothing on Identity Token. Given they may be two different things, I decided to post the question here. Can anyone shed light on this? Thanks

Hiya Chris,

When you look at the box in the program that has the blank for that there should be a little Help question mark symbol image around there somewhere. I believe if you click it or mouse over it it will give you completely instructions on where to find it and how to put it in. :)

Chris this should help you!

Coffee Cup PayPal people- now I have a question for you.....
In addition to the above steps, the Auto Return must be turned on.
Must enter a return URL. Which I made a "thank you" page in the VSD website.
(These steps are on the same page as the Payment Data Transer in the workflow listed above)

Okay- so this is what happens:

Make purchase from SCC Pro shop. Transfers to PayPal to complete transaction. Finsh and PayPal redirects back to NOT the created page but the SCC Pro shop page.

This is not a huge problem, but for the life of me I can not figure out how to edit the thank you note.

So the questions are:
1) Why do I have to put in an auto redirect URL in PayPal?
2) How to I edit the thankyou page of SCC Pro?

Thanks!
Love those Nikon's!

Hiya Nikon,

It is working as intended if it's going back to the shop as that's what it should do. In order for the software to be able to manipulate the inventory setups it needs to go back to the shop page it has internally built in. This gives it the ability to increment and decrement the inventory as needed as well as removing the items from the customer's cart to show that the purchase is completed.

The cart software overrides the page that you put into PayPal as the return page. Been mentioned many many times on the forums over the years. PayPal requires that you put a page there for returning, but it does not require that it return to that page so that's how the software works around that situation so it can function as it should.

Basically, it returns to the shop not to the page you specify in PayPal. That is as intended so that the customer's cart is updated correctly.

Thanks Jo Ann.

Is there a way to customize this "internal page" with my own thank you words?

I think this is what your looking for.:)
shop/ccdata/data/paymentfinal.inc.php
At the top you will find the words Thank you for your payment.

Be careful.;)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

just out of curiosity and for them to know too, is this something they will need to update every time they do an update to the shop with the software?

Yup. I'll keep it as a snippet in the html editor.:)

ahh ok good to know and good idea. I tend to do that too or save text files with bits and pieces of info I need more than once. Either way I'd make sure that if you do edit that that you make a copy of what you did so you can easily put it back in next time you update the site, and make sure to remember to do that update each time too :)
