Hi All
Again today I took my time and carefully rebuilt my Photo gallery. It came out real nice but then I saved it, did an edit after previewing and when I saved again I got many error messages for all my images that they could not be found. I'm not sure why that happens. It happened Yesterday so I abandonded the gallery and started fresh. now it happened again. Also When I go and look at the files there is a swfobject file which when I open it has an error message that says... Error: 'document' is undefined Code: 800A1391 Source: Microsoft JScript runtime error.
I wanted to upload this to my website but after I did the edit and saved it doesn't look like it is correct anymore. Any thoughts or help on what all of this is about would be appreciated.
Thank You

Can you share a link?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Eric I don't have a link to this website. It is not yet published to my host server. Everything looked just beautiful then I did an edit of some of the captions and when I saved after the edit I got an error message for every image that they could not be found. On the first save it seemed to be good and even got the page that shows all the files to upload and the choice to upload. I cancelled out of that and then did the edit and that is when I get the error message about all my images not being found and then when I look in the files I saw the script error message. I might of messed up now that I think of it. On the second save it asked me if I wanted to replace the existing file with the new file and I believe I clicked yes. Is this where I messed up and if yes is there a way to get the other files back or am I doomed again. I would hate to have to rebuild this for the 3rd time. I guess at least i will know the program real well.
FYI and anyone else who has the problem with the caption bar cutting of the top of the photos I did come up with a solution that works pretty nice. I did a custom reformat on each photo and added a top section of 70 pixels high in the same color as the background color of my gallery. So when it cuts of the top of the photo is is just cutting of the top that I added and blends nicely.
Eric any thoughts on the script or the saving problem is as always appreciated.

I'm not sure what the problem would be locally on your pc.
Did the error popup when you saved it or when you tried to preview it? I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Error popped up when I saved. What do you think about when I chose on the 2nd save to replace existing files with new files. I seems like that should be the correct choice since I did an edit and would want the new files. I don't think it is a pc problem I think it is a user problem, me. making the wrong choice. The files now look screwed up. I think I have to again do a rebuild.
Eric when I did the first save before the edit it gave me the screen to upload and showed all the files I would upload. I do have CC FTP direct. I chose to cancel at that point. I also did that yesterday and ended up with the same problem when I edited and did a second save that all my images could not be found. Should I not have cancelled the upload at that time? I know these are confusing scenarios but any thoughts are appreciated.

Daniel,
From your description, it does not sound as though you did anything 'wrong'. Saving and replacing files after an edit is, of course, fine. Also canceling the upload after the files have been created. I always follow those same steps, since I'm in the habit of using the c-panel for uploads... The CC Photo Gallery has always been very stable when I've used it and it has never given me any problems.
What exactly did you 'edit' before you tried to re-save?
I'd suggest you do a very quick and simple test gallery with just a couple of photos, and upload it. Then do the same kind of edit as before and see if you can reproduce the error. I just spent a couple of minutes with a small test gallery here, but could not produce any errors...

Per Hi,
Signed off last night before reading your suggestion. I will experiment this morning with a test gallery. I did notice one thing that seems positive this morning on the gallery... When I ran it in preview it worked very nice. After coffee this morning I am going to upload to the page I setup for it on my website and see what happens. I will post after the test with the results.
Thank you
