I am not successful at getting Photo Gallary to display my pictures on my website. My HTML page works fine in the CC HTML editor, but when I upload the files, I get a black box outline of the Gallery, but no images. If I double click the center image, the real image pops up in another window. I have installed the new Photo Gallery version 5.94R.

Also, when you create a photo gallery, the program creates a sub directory where it places the image files. Does the HTML know to look in this sub directory? Do the SWF, XML, HTML file have to be in the same diectory as the images, or do the programs know to search the in the sub directory created by the Photo Gallery creator. I have attached a screen shot of the problem. Also, you can go to this link to check the situation out: http://www.petroleumengineeringspreadsh … z2009.html

HI Budkey,
you can preview the gallery you made in the html editor like you already know this but when it comes to uploading to your site, html editor will just upload the html file, you will need to have the folder associated with the gallery (holds the images) and the swf, xml, html if your not copying into another html page. you are correct in saying they all need to be in the directory together. so structure wise you'll have the gallery folder the swf, xml, html.

html editor doesn't know where to look unless you right click on the html file (the gallery makes) and open with html editor "It's A Smart Person That Asks"

Thanks for the reply Bruzer,

I am going to delete all the files associated with this photo gallery and try to work through it again.

Concerning the folders and files associated with the photo album and uploading them with the CC HTML editor:: if I have added them all to a "project" in HTML Editor, can't I click on the topmost folder that contains the swf, xml, html files, and then the HTML editor will upload those file and also any subdirectoris , which in this case will be the folder created by the Photo Gallery program which will contain the images to included?

Bruzer , et.al.

I have made my photo gallery and uploaded all the proper files on to my website, but the images still do not appear. Anyone have any suggestions? I have attached a screen shot of file structure.

H Budkey,
I'm looking at it now in IE and it's showing up fine. I see it doesn't work in FF.....
Budkey are you using the latest version of the gallery? 5.94? "It's A Smart Person That Asks"

Budkey,
what I would do in this case would be to use another ftp and upload your gallery files (all) and see if that makes a difference as I do not understand why it shows in IE and not FF, coding and files are there in the right place , so this is the only thing I can come up with for now. I'm thinking maybe it sent the images up under a different protcol. "It's A Smart Person That Asks"

I'm not sure how it works for everyone else, but for me I had no choice but to open the .xml file and edit all the locations for my pictures for every picture that was in my gallery. I haven't made a new gallery in a while, so this could be changed in the current version and if so then ignore it.

When I made my galleries it added the pictures with their current location as the path on my computer so it would not show the pictures for my site either. Took me a bit to find where this problem was but it was definitely a problem with the pathway not being correct once uploaded to the site.

Check this and see if that is the problem for you too? If not, then ignore this as maybe the newer versions are showing the correct path now :)

P.S. If you find that this is your problem, just load the file up in your HTML or Text Editor and do a find and replace for all the locations, pretty easy to do, but if you need more explanation just give a hollar here and I'll do so :) Jo Ann

Dear Bruzer & Wolverana,

I opened up the photo gallery in IE and it works fine as Bruzer said. I normally use FF, and it is not working under FF browser. I am using version 5.94R of the Photo Gallery.

Wolverana - I looked in the XLM file, and the paths to the images seem to be correct. Are you suggesting that I re-type them in anyway, save the file and upload it again? Or maybe go to my website and edit the file on the server, that way I would know that nothing got changed in transmittance?

HI Budkey,
May way of thinking is this, and Wolverana please tell me if I'm wrong.
but if it works in IE then the files are located in the correct place. I would use another ftp like fillezilla-direct ftp, or the free ftp coffeecup offers and upload the xml, swf, html if used and see if that makes any difference as you may be correct in thinking something got lost in the uploading.:) "It's A Smart Person That Asks"

You forgot to also upload the gallery images. I get a 404 for all of them:

Example:

http://www.petroleumengineeringspreadsh … e00016.jpg

You need to upload the az2009a_files folder and all files inside of it. ~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~
